This is an impressive model featuring a huge main oven, offers authentic range cooking with the practicability of programmable, controlled heat output that allows you to cook ‘on demand’. You can also turn the cooker down in the summer so that your kitchen does not become too hot. The Hotplates and LidsBeautifully engineered and sprung-loaded for easier lifting, your Redfyre Classic's insulted hob lid covers are available in a choice of black vitreous enamelled or highly polished, chromium-plated steel finishes. They incorporate an open handle that is cooler to the touch and are designed to open away from the flue to maximise cooking space on the hotplates. The Main Oven'Capacious' best describes this huge, 60 litre main oven. Designed to cater for the largest of parties, you cannot but be impressed by its cooking capacity and the fact that, unlike some range cookers, it is thermostatically controlled. So whether you are contemplating a 30lb Christmas turkey or the grandest of family roasts, you Redfyre Classic cooker will be there to help. Just as it will when you wish to bake, steam or casserole. Indeed, you will soon discover the flexible and capable main oven is ideal for most types of cooking. The Lower OvenSlightly smaller, but still a huge 49 litres, the lower oven is designed for keeping food warm and for slow baking or cooking. Vegetables and rice, in particular, can be brought to the boil on the hob, drained and then transferred here until ready. You will soon discover it is an effective way of improving texture and flavour. Optimal ProgrammerEnjoy even more controllability with the optional, wall mounted programmer. Unlike certain range cookers, the design of the Redfyre Classic means that it does not need to run at a high temperature continuously so your kitchen does not need to become too hot - a particular beneifit in the summer months. You can heat up your cooker from a low (and, therefore, economical) setting exactly when you require it. Accordingly, you can easily and economically have the Redfyre Classic up to temperature for regularly planned morning, lunchtime and evening periods or even to cook while you are out. Furthermore, the heating up time is around 55 minutes to 190 deg C (oil version from low, gas version from pilot) which is much quicker than conventional heat-store range cookers.
